Vintage Columbia Masterwork M-2104 Portable Record Player Phonograph This old phonograph is tested and works. It has a new flip needle installed and it sounds good for this old machine. It is clean inside and out. The amplifier works well, but it's NOT SUPER LOUD. It has moderate volume, which is probably by design since it has a small speaker. Both controls are clean, no static. Center spindle and 45 adapter spindle are both there. The 45 RPM adapter is shown attached to the inside of the lid. The adapter fits over the 33 spindle so a single or a stack of 45s can play. The mechanism to drop the record and move the tonearm operate correctly. The needle always drops at the right spot in the outer groove. When the final record plays, the tonearm returns to its stand and lowers. It has has no auto shutoff. You have to turn it off. The case has some rough edges, especially on both ends of the cloth hinge. The turntable is clean, has some small rust spots along the front edge. The controls both work smoothly, and the auto return works properly. The case is in good condition with wear. The front metal clasps and hinges are rusty. Case measures 17" x 11" x 7".
