For sale is a Sony TCS-310 Stereo Cassette Corder. This is being sold as-is for parts only.
It has several issues.
The Rewind button works. The FF button does not move the spindle but you can hear the motor moving inside.
When I first started testing it out, the speaker was working but it no longer produces a sound. Without a tape inserted, when Play is pressed and headphones are plugged in you can hear a buzzing sound and when the volume knob is turned you hear a little static. But nothing outputs now on the speaker. The same sound is heard whether a tape is inserted and playing or not.
The Counter button is hard push in and the tape counter does not advance when playing a tape.
When play is pushed you can see the spindle moving.
I was not able to test the recording function.
Battery compartment is clean.Unit has some dust and dirt in spots, could use a good cleaning. From a smoke-free home.
