Vintage Lear Jet Stereo 8 P-529 Portable 8-track Player

Lear Jet Stereo 8 portable 8 track player. Model P-529 unmarked exact manufacturing date is unknown, made in Japan. Measures approx. 9" tall when handle is completely up to base, body 7" top to base 10 1/4" side edge to edge, 6" front to back. Weighs just under 8 pounds. Listing as for parts repair restoration. Case is solid no cracks chips splits or repairs, handle is attached firmly/moves forward backwards, back removes and attaches without hesitation, knobs turn freely (tone knob is loose pulls completely out), battery compartment is clean no corrosion or residue. Cord is solid and flexible no splits or dryness . Case does have scratches and scuffs Volume balance and tone all appear to work as they should.. When plugged in and tape is inserted there is static tape would not play unsure if it is player or the tape, both outside and inside has dusty areas will need a cleaning.
