Or perhaps you want a Canadian brand with devices made in the People's Republic of China (probably in the same factories as those with other branding)! But still, it's Canadian, and that's cool.
This is a simple to operate device with the ability to toggle between FM Mono (for difficult to tune into distant stations) and FM Stereo. FM Stereo lights up to indicate stereo reception. If the sound is not Hi-Fi quality, well at least you have a cool and rare color to show off. And did you notice the Aux In port? This means you can connect any other audio device as well as introduce Bluetooth functionality. Balancing this positive, but on the negative side of the ledger: there's no headphone jack.
You might be looking for the telescoping antenna and think, "it's broken . . . hmmmmm." But the great thing is that this device does not have an antenna to break, nor was it designed with an external antenna, but the FM reception is nonetheless outstanding. I am also including a long, sturdy AC cord with a white stripe, surely longer and better than the one it originally came with. There is an AM bar antenna inside, so you can catch your favorite talk radio or sports broadcasts using the AM band. How do I know what's inside? I opened the device to make sure all was in order before listing, and while inside, I took the opportunity to clean the all the switches and the volume potentiometer with DeoxIT. The device has also been tested to work with 8 C cell batteries (not included).
