The set is mostly open box, the speakers have never been touched, they are still in their factory sealed bags, they are still accommodated in the box, and I haven't got them out from there, they are practically untouched
As for the receiver, it was taken out of the box and examined. The receiver is mostly untouched and has little to no signs of usage, it is like new.
I obtained this home theater from a Goodwill resale store. The receiver was tested, however the speakers were left untouched because they are brand new.
The physical condition of the receiver is as shown in the pictures

About the Onkyo HT-S780
Buying your DVD player and audio components separately usually means that your system will have greater hookup flexibility and better sound quality. That's certainly true with Onkyo's HT-S780. Its receiver, 7-speaker system, and 150-watt powered subwoofer work together to produce enveloping, high-impact surround sound. Just add a DVD player and you've got a complete system for movies and music.
The receiver sports high-end circuitry that reduces noise early on, before the signal is amplified and sent to the speakers. With that strong, clean signal, the speakers can produce clearer, more detailed audio from your DVDs, CDs, and more. Plus, a high-current amplifier design enables it to reproduce powerful sound effects better than many other receivers. From the deep rumble of a passing freight train to whispered dialogue and subtle effects, you'll appreciate the 'S780's precise, natural sound with every film.
The 'S780's receiver also includes component video switching, which allows you to connect and enjoy up to three High-Definition video sources without having to change the inputs on your TV. This is also very useful if your TV only has 1 or 2 component video inputs. Plus, an extensive array of inputs and outputs lets you hook up additional components as your system grows.
