Gemini XGA-4000 Power Amplifier, excellent operating and cosmetic

This listing is for a gently used 240-Watt RMS Gemini XGA-4000 power amplifier in excellent operating condition and very good cosmetic condition. This model is still being distributed. It features a large toroidal core power transformer and two 6,800uF filter capacitors totaling 13,600uF. 4 internal cooling fans and 2 large internal heat-sinks of the eight 150Watt, 180Volt 15Ampere TO-3P case output devices allow for safe operation with cool operation. The actual “uninflated” power output, into 8Ω non-inductive test loads, is 120 Watts RMS per channel from 20Hz to 20kHz, with both channels driven at the point of clipping. The imaginary 4000 Watt rating is the product of spec writers competing to win the “Watts-per-dollar competition” that his made the industry a farce.
I bought this unit several months ago, and have used it occasionally, as a part of my large collection of solid-state audio components. I am only selling it to make room for other audio treasures.
