Consumer Electronics / Portable Audio & Headphones / Personal Cassette Players
This is a cassette player recorder for the visually impaired made by General Electric for the American printing house for the blind. It works well with DC power but does not work with AA batteries. Included are the original headphones, DC power adaptor, original shipping box with styrofoam, microphone, instructions, headset instructions and information sheet printed and in Braille. There is a set of rechargeable batteries in a holder that are corroded in place unfortunately. This is different from other cassette players as it plays in two speeds, has an indexing function and side A/B switch. I can't say I understand and tested all the features but it did play a music tape and did record on a blank one with the external microphone. It is in beautiful cosmetic condition as well. Please be sure to look at all the pictures carefully before buying. I try hard to take great pictures that accurately describe the items I am selling. I am a retired teacher working from home and enjoy rehoming vintage and pre-loved items. M any (but not all) of the items I sell are purchased at thrift stores, garage sales/estate sales, etc. Unless otherwise stated, they are used/pre-owned. Feel free to ask me any questions. If there is an issue with your purchase, please contact me so I can make it right for you. Customer satisfaction is very important to me, as evidenced by my positive feedbacks (which I would appreciate if you are satisfied with your purchase and my prompt service). I try to make sure all orders are sent out the same day I receive payment for the item or the following business day. I add to my store regularly, so I hope that you will consider following me and checking out all of the cool treasures I find during my shopping excursions. Thank you so much! :D
