In pristine condition EXCEPT POWER SLIDER SWITCH, which is broken, but the deck turns itself off after a short while, even with the power supply plugged in. To wake it up, press EJECT button.
Extensively tested for all transport and other functions, except digital recording, as I do not have a digital source. All functions check out working. Switchable between Standard and Long Play. Do not know if it will play LP recorded on other equipment, as I never use LP. Takes 6 AA batteries. Read battery installation prompt on the back of the battery holder before installing. A little tricky.
A rare find, miniature, smaller than most "walkmen", but as versatile as a full size 23-pound deck.
